Taile Wins Cleanroom HVAC Contracts for Two Envision Battery Production Bases

Shenzhen Taile Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. (CNZTL) has won the cleanroom central air conditioning contracts for two production bases of Envision, one of the world's leading new-energy companies: a smart lithium battery base in Yichang, Hubei Province, and a battery super factory in Cangzhou, Hebei Province. The combined contract value is RMB 15 million (approx. USD 2.1 million).

Both projects are cleanroom-grade installations for battery manufacturing, where the air system has to hold tight temperature and humidity control, very low air leakage, and stable pressure relationships between zones, continuously and at production scale.

The two projects

Yichang, Hubei. The Envision Power smart lithium battery base in Yichang High-Tech Zone has a total investment of RMB 24.2 billion and is planned as the world's first 100 GWh-class full-industry-chain energy storage base. The HVAC scope covers clean production areas where humidity and particle control directly affect cell yield.

Cangzhou, Hebei. The Cangzhou plant is the core project of the Envision Cangzhou zero-carbon smart industrial park. This is a repeat win: Taile completed phase one of the project, and the client selected Taile again for phase two.

A repeat order in this industry is the strongest reference a supplier can ask for. Battery plants do not switch air-side suppliers lightly, because re-validating a cleanroom air system costs far more than the equipment.

What the specification demanded, and what answered it

High-specification battery cleanrooms put four demands on an air handling system at the same time:

  • Thermal bridging and air leakage. Any cold bridge on the casing wastes energy and creates condensation risk inside the unit. Taile's patented labyrinth panel structure keeps casing thermal bridging, air leakage and insulation performance at European standard levels.
  • Verified performance, not brochure performance. The units carry Eurovent certification at TB2 / L2 / T2 levels and AHRI certification, so the thermal and leakage figures are independently tested, not self-declared.
  • Cleanroom compatibility. Flat, smooth interior walls suitable for ISO Class 7 to 8 production zones (the common Class 10,000 to Class 100,000 levels in battery plants), with surfaces that clean down easily.
  • Drainage that survives winter. Coils drain from the lowest point of the pan through a low-position drain valve, so water empties completely and cannot freeze and crack the coil in Hebei winters.

Optional control cabinets add live monitoring of temperature, humidity and valve positions, with alarms on fan and filter status, so the plant's maintenance team sees a drifting filter weeks before it becomes a stopped line.

What this means for battery and new-energy buyers

If you are planning HVAC for a battery plant or another cleanroom-classified facility, this project underlines three points worth taking into your own specification:

  1. Ask for certified leakage and thermal bridging data. Casing leakage is where cleanroom air systems quietly lose their humidity control and their energy budget. Eurovent TB2/L2/T2 is a concrete line to write into a tender.
  2. Design the drainage for the coldest day, not the average one. A coil that cannot drain fully is a coil waiting to freeze. Low-position drains are a small detail with an expensive failure mode.
  3. Check the supplier's repeat-order record. A first contract proves a supplier can quote. A second contract on the same site proves they can deliver, commission and support.
